Our Story
KR Group began its journey in 1989, When Founder Chairman
Shri M. Kumarasamy established the first poultry farm in Karur, Tamil Nadu. With just four employees and a vision to empower the local community, he laid the foundation for what would grow into a diversified and sustainable business. In 2000, the Group entered into education with the launch of M.Kumarasamy College of Engineering, followed by the establishment of additional educational institutions – K.Ramakrishnan College of Engineering in 2008 and K.Ramakrishnan College of Technology in 2010. The poultry enterprise also grew steadily, adding a second unit in 2004. Inspired by their success in education, the management ventured into the renewable energy sector, setting up solar and wind power plants across Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The Group further diversified into the FMCG sector with KR Tasty Foods, producing ready-to-cook chapattis, masalas, and other food products. Over the years, KR Group has also made its mark in automobiles and allied sectors, strengthening its reputation as a multifaceted enterprise. Known as “The KR Way,” the Group approach emphasizes sustainability, innovation, and excellence across every industry it serves. Our Story
